The Vietnam Multimedia Corporation or VTC is an independent entity operating in the television industry of Vietnam. It is a government owned company and was set up to help develop and expand the multimedia industry of Vietnam through its expertise in the television sector. It is the parent company of a list of other subsidiaries under the Ministry of Posts and Telematics which offer all types of services that include operation of television channels, solutions in the multimedia industry as well as content creation and its related services.
The major television company in Vietnam plays a significant role in the development of this industry which contributes to the overall development of the country as well. The company is the broadcaster of many channels from both the local and international scene. The company is the operator of more than 70 SD channels and 30 other HD channels. It includes the free-to-air channels like the range of VTC channels that encompass many sectors like sports, technology, entertainment, business, culture and such. On top of that, they also offer international channels like CNN, Goal TV, Star Movies, Star Sports, ESPN, Cartoon Network, Bloomberg, and many more. Apart from that, they are also involved with the airing of radio channels too.
