The BVIM (Vietnam Partners Investment Company) is an investment management company which is a 50/50 joint venture business between BIDV (Bank of Investment and Development of Vietnam) with Vietnam Partners LLC. The company was established in 2006 and is based in Hanoi, the northern administrative city of Vietnam. BIDV is the second largest bank in the country while Vietnam Partners LLC is an American-based investment bank which focuses on the Vietnam market and a network that spans across Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, New York and Washington DC.
BVIM offers a wide range of investment services and tools where it is focused in the mobilizing of capital from within the country into the global market and investing into potential opportunities with high-growth and returns of the economy in Vietnam. The first fund that was launched was a domestic based one called the VIF (Vietnam Investment Fund) while in VIF II was a global fund. The company is managed through its Board of Directors which is formed by the executive of both the partnering companies.
