The Vietnam Tobacco Import and Export Company or known in short as Vinataba IMEX is one of the most established companies in Vietnam. The company’s main business is in the distribution of tobacco products both within and outside of the country. It was established in 1986 and is a subsidiary of Vinataba or Vietnam National Tobacco Corporation and is the leading importer and exporter of tobacco products and directly become the mover of the tobacco industry of Vietnam.
Apart of playing a major role in the supplying of expertise and machinery for the tobacco industry, the manufacturers and retailers, Vinataba IMEX is also the company responsible for building Vietnam tobacco products in overseas markets. Among products that has been exported include tobacco leaf, cut rag as well as Vietnamese cigarettes. It is associated to many leading tobacco giants around the world that include British American Tobacco, Japan Tobacco International and many others.
Apart from tobacco related products, the company is also involved with other businesse that also include confectionary like soft and hard candies, pop candies, chocolates and cookies, biscuits and wafers as well as red wine. It is also involved with the manufacturing of instant noodles among others. The company operates from its headquarters in 41 Le Quy Don, District 3 in Ho Chi Minh City.
